Research Park's lab space fully occupied

All of the lab space is occupied at the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park for the first time in the park's 16-year history.

Tenants at the Modeland Road facility include research centres, and international companies, many of which are from outside of Sarnia-Lambton.

Park Executive Director Katherine Albion said the 9,000 square foot space is being used for a variety of initiatives.

Work being done at the park includes advanced manufacturing, 3D printing, prototyping, biofuels and biomaterials research and development, water purification, and natural health products.

Albion said they still have some pilot plant space and office suites available.

In addition to its labs and research space, the park is home to a number of high profile tenants including Nova Chemicals, Enbridge, the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, and WorleyParsons.

It has a total of 270,000 square feet of leasable area.
