Recycling truckers wanted in Sarnia

Sarnia's recycling contractor is looking to hire some truck drivers.

Emterra Environmental is hosting a job fair July 11 to fill three DZ driver positions.

Operations Recruiter Zoe Brown said it's a great chance for truckers to work and live in Sarnia.

"Right now we are offering a $2,500 signing bonus, we have a higher than market hourly rate of $22, and we also offer full benefits for single, couple or family," said Brown. "And it's local work. So instead of driving across the border or across Canada, it's local Sarnia work and you're home every night."

Brown said applicants are asked to bring a current copy of their Ontario DZ or AZ license, their driver abstract, their CVOR abstract, and their resume to Thursday's job fair -- it goes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in suite 107 at St. Clair Corporate Centre at 265 Front St. N.
