Imperials win at home

The Sarnia Imperials crushed the visiting Tri City Outlaws 41-0 in Northern Football Conference action Saturday.

The win improves the Imperials' record to 5-2 on the season and moves them into a tie for first place in the West Division with Sudbury.

The Spartans were dumped by the league-leading GTA All Stars 49-7. Elsewhere the Steel City Patriots defeated the Ottawa Sooners 28-10 and the Oakville Longhorns downed the North Bay Bulldogs 15-6.

The Imperials visit Oakville next Saturday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
