Former Sarnia radio personality dies

A veteran radio personality, well known in the Sarnia area, has died.

John Harada passed away suddenly Monday night.

He worked at numerous radio stations over 35 years including CFGX The Fox 99.9 FM in Sarnia.

For the last eight months, Harada was the host of the morning show at WRSQ AM in Sarasota, Florida.

During his career, he also worked in Waterloo, Woodstock, Toronto, Ottawa, and Halifax.

Visitation will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, Burkeview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Avenue, Port Coquitlam B.C. on July 24 from 10 a.m. until the start of a funeral service at 12 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
