UPDATE: Chronic runaway found again

Sarnia police report that 11-year-old Leia Cooper has been located safely after going missing for the fifth time this month.

Police reported Wednesday morning that Leia Cooper was last seen Tuesday night and with the public’s help, was reported to be safely located Wednesday afternoon at around 1 p.m.

Cooper was also reported missing earlier this month on July 9, July 14 and twice on July 19.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
