Vehicle hits pedestrian, three sent to hospital

Three people were sent to hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries following a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian Friday afternoon.

Sarnia police were called to Norman Street near London Road at around 2 p.m.

Cst. John Sottosanti said a vehicle was travelling eastbound on London Road when it collided with a pedestrian at Norman Street.

"There doesn't appear to be any life-threatening injuries, but everyone involved was taken to hospital to be looked at," said Sottosanti. "There were two occupants in the motor vehicle and one female pedestrian."

Sottosanti said no charges have been laid but the investigation was ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
