Masked suspect with knife robs convenience store

Sarnia police are looking for a suspect following an armed robbery Monday morning at a convenience store.

Constable John Sottosanti said a male, armed with a large knife, entered the Circle K at Exmouth Street and Capel Street at around 5 a.m.

The suspect demanded money from the clerk and is believed to have fled on foot with a small amount of cash.

City police and the OPP canine unit searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.

The robber is 5'5" tall and was wearing a black hoodie, coloured shorts and a baseball cap. His face was covered with a black mask.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
