Traffic stop leads to drug trafficking charge

A traffic stop in Enniskillen Township on Tuesday night has led to drug charges against a passenger.

After receiving a complaint, Lambton OPP stopped the vehicle on Marthaville Road around 7:50 p.m.

A breathalyzer test on the driver allegedly registered an "alert", resulting in a three-day licence suspension.

A search of the vehicle allegedly found one of the passengers to be in possession of narcotics, a large sum of money and other drug paraphernalia.

Tommie-Lynne Cooper, 21 of Sarnia, has been charged with possession of a schedule four substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Sarnia courthouse at a later date.
