UPDATE: Police investigating sudden death of child

Sarnia police are conducting an investigation into the sudden death of a child in the city.

The Sarnia Police Service said Friday evening that criminal investigators were called to the 12 hundred block of Pontiac Court.

Police reported Saturday that the deceased is a two-year-old child.

Officers and a mobile command post unit remained outside a townhouse complex Saturday.

A post mortem examination was being conducted to determine the cause of death.
