Florence Library closed due to fire

The Florence Library in Dawn-Euphemia Township is closed until further notice following a fire on Saturday.

The municipality and the County of Lambton said the library was closed at the time and no one was inside the building.

Due dates for borrowed materials from the Florence Library will be extended but can be returned, renewed, or borrowed at the Shetland Library. The Shetland branch's hours will be extended until the Florence Library is reopened.

Other neighbouring libraries include Alvinston and Inwood.

The county and Dawn-Euphemia are working together to restore the Florence Library to its original condition, but a potential reopening date is not yet known.
