Strangway program to make intergenerational cyber connection

The Strangway Centre in Sarnia is looking for some tech-savvy volunteers.

Activities Programmer Rebecca Mills said they're recruiting student volunteers for the Cyber Seniors program.

"It's a great program because it's intergenerational which is something we've been looking at implementing," said Mills. "So it's pairing a youth, high school or college-aged student, with a senior to help them to learn how to use a tablet or laptop."

They're hoping to have volunteers in place by the middle of August. The program runs from October to January.

Those interested in volunteering can contact the Strangway Centre at 519-336-0656 or email strangway@sarnia.ca.
