Second annual Express Employment Interview Day

Express Employment Professionals hopes to help job seekers return to work or land a better job at its second annual Interview Day Thursday.

Local franchise owner Bruce Hein said the event coincides with an annual upswing in seasonal labour needs.

"National Interview Day will be hosted in over 800 communities, across Canada and the United States, for all of the Express offices," said Hein. "We had a good blitz with it last year, and the whole goal is for us to attract and recruit candidates. It's a very tight labour market, as everybody keeps talking about, and we get very busy in the second half of the year."

He said they're looking to fill about 40 positions at dozens of companies in Sarnia-Lambton.

"We've got everything from industrial/labour positions, to skilled trades, office/clerical and professional roles like accounting, finance, IT, technical sales."

Applicants are asked to bring their most recent resume and identification to the office at 347 Christina Street North between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Recruiters will be available to meet with applicants and discuss their job search.
