Cochlear implant stolen from Grand Bend beach

Lambton OPP are investigating a theft from Grand Bend Beach last Sunday.

Police said a suspect made off with a pair of shoes sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The victim indicated to police that inside the shoe was a cochlear implant, and it too was missing.

The electronic hearing device is valued at over $10,000.

Lambton OPP are asking anyone with information to contact them or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
