Expensive machinery catches fire at Enniskillen business

A very expensive piece of equipment at a Lasalle Line business caught fire early Monday morning.

Petrolia and North Enniskillen Fire Department responded to the 4300 block at around 6:30 a.m.

Chief Jay Arns said a piece of machinery inside the building, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, was on fire.

"The machinery itself contained the fire, there was a little bit of water damage in the surrounding area, but otherwise everything else was saved, it was a quick knockdown by the crews and a quick overhaul," said Arns.

Chief Arns would not confirm the name of the business, but reports indicate it was High Park Farms, a medical marijuana production facility.

No injuries were reported.
