Woman committed to stand trial on murder charge

A Lambton County woman will stand trial on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of a man in the village of Warwick in the spring of 2018.

Justice Deborah Austin committed Tina George, 35, to trial Monday following a preliminary hearing at Sarnia courthouse in June.

The matter was put over to September 13 assignment court for the setting of trial dates.

George was arrested following the death of 29-year-old Jesse Storr.

The father of three was found in a home on Egremont Road at around 2:30 p.m. April 29, 2018, after OPP had responded to a report of an injured man.

He was treated by paramedics but later died of his injuries.

George was granted bail in May of 2018.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
