A former Roman Catholic bishop of London has died. John Sherlock passed away Monday morning at the age of 93. The Diocese of London says Sherlock was ordained to the priesthood in 1950, and was installed as the ninth bishop of London in 1978. He retired in 2002. Visitation will be Thursday followed by a funeral mass Friday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica in London.
