St. Clair Township leads Lambton in MacLean's ranking

St. Clair Township is ranked an impressive 58th in MacLean's inaugural Best Communities in Canada issue.

The magazine ranked 415 municipalities based on 10 categories including crime, wealth and economy, population growth and culture.

St. Clair was ranked high in weather, health, and low crime.

Lambton Shores and the City of Sarnia had respectable rankings of 111th, and 144th respectively.

Sarnia's top feature was favourable weather followed by access to health care and affordability.

Burlington, Ontario topped the list, while Mountain View County in Alberta came in last.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
