E-Bike rider killed in crash with transport Thursday

Lambton OPP now say a 53-year-old E-Bike rider died early Thursday morning in a collision with a transport truck.

Police, and Lambton EMS responded at about 1:15 a.m. to Modeland Road between Wellington Street and Confederation Line in Sarnia.

In a news release Friday, police said their investigation revealed that an E-Bike was travelling east on Confederation when it collided with a transport southbound on Modeland.

The driver of the E-Bike, John Michael Saint of Sarnia, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said no charges will be laid.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
