OPP identify pedestrian struck and killed by truck Thursday

Lambton OPP have identified a pedestrian killed early Thursday morning on Oil Heritage Road in Dawn-Euphemia Township. In a news release Friday police said their investigation revealed that the pedestrian was struck by a transport truck while walking northbound, north of Edys Mills Line after midnight. The victim has been identified as Tommie-Lynn Cooper, 21, of Sarnia. Police said no charges will be laid.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
