NOVA turnaround underway

NOVA Chemicals started a scheduled maintenance turnaround at its St. Clair River site Friday.

The company says the outage is expected to last until the week of September 23.

Elevated flaring and some increased noise are expected the first couple of days, and there will be increased traffic around the Albert St. Corunna site for the duration of the turnaround between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Updates for the community will be shared through the CAER update line, as required.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
