City police investigating road rage allegation involving former officer

The Sarnia Police Service is looking into a case of violent road rage last weekend, allegedly involving a retired officer.

Cst. John Sottosanti said the Criminal Investigation Branch has taken over the case that involves a possible suspect who is a retired member of the city police service.

"The initial call came in on September 6 at approximately 11:30 p.m.," said Sottosanti. "Officers were dispatched to the Bright's Grove area regarding an alleged assault affiliated with road rage."

Sottosanti said no charges have been laid and no names have been released.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
