Campaign off to strong start

The Sarnia-Lambton United Way campaign is off to a strong start.

Executive Director Dave Brown says so far 750 donors have contributed.

"We just completed week one and we're already at 23 per cent, which is $437,000 towards our $1.9 million need," said Brown. "Imperial and ARLANXEO have already kicked off their campaigns with a barbeque. NOVA Chemicals also kicked off its campaign, and is planning a barbeque in a couple of weeks."

Brown says they support 36 local programs and services.
