Sting lose pre-season finale in Windsor

The Sarnia Sting fell behind early and lost 9-4 to the Spitfires in their final game of the pre-season Sunday.

The Spits scored four times in the first period and led 4-1 after one period. They added another two unanswered in the second period.

The Sting played the home squad even in the third period with each club scoring three times.

Owen Saye scored twice for the Sting with singles going to Sean Josling, and Jacob Perreault.

Sarnia finished the pre-season at 1-4 and prepare now to kick-off the 2019-2020 OHL regular season Friday night at home to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
