Crash leads to impaired driving charge

A 21-year-old Sarnia man is charged with impaired driving after a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night.

Sarnia police responded at around 11:45 p.m. to the intersection of Murphy Road and Afton Drive.

Police said witnesses reported that a speeding vehicle was all over the road before it collided with a fire hydrant.

The driver was not injured and was taken to Sarnia police headquarters for a breath test which police said he failed.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
