Jumpstart Games promote sports and recreation

Students in the Forest area are getting to enjoy a day outside of the classroom Wednesday.

Canadian Tire Dealer Jean-Philippe Lord said 150 kids will be participating in a number of activities as part of the Jumpstart Games.

"The Jumpstart Games provide a fun day of play for kids and they can learn new skills, be inspired, and have fun alongside of their peers," said Lord. "At our Jumpstart Games in Forest this year we'll have ten stations of games for the kids through the day such as an obstacle course, soccer, and parachute games. Lunch and snacks will be provided as well as a DJ so, it'll be a full day of fun."

The games are on from 9 a.m until 2 p.m. at Kinwood Central Public School.

Lord is funding the games thanks to a $20,000 award given to the Forest store for outstanding fundraising efforts during Jumpstart month in June.
