No injuries after floatplane flips near Port Franks

A small floatplane overturned when landing on Lake Huron near Port Franks Saturday.

Lambton OPP, Lambton EMS, and the Northville Fire Department responded at around 2 p.m.

Police say an ultralight pontoon aircraft hit the water, flipped and came to rest on its roof.

Nearby vessels were able to help the pilot and passenger to shore with neither sustaining any injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
