Crash knocks out power in St. Clair Township

Hydro One crews fully restored power by 1 p.m. Wednesday to customers in St. Clair Township affected by a crash-related outage.

At around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, Lambton OPP, the Petrolia and North Enniskillen Fire Department, and Lambton EMS responded to Mandaumin Road between Lasalle Line and Churchill Line.

Police said the initial investigation revealed that a vehicle left the roadway, struck a hydro pole, rolled and came to rest on its roof, entangled in hydro lines.

The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Lambton OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

A couple of hours earlier, the Petrolia and North Enniskillen Fire Department responded to a crash in the area of Petrolia Line and Oil Heritage Road.

They said one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a car rear-ended another.
