Driver extricated after cement truck rolls in Warwick

The driver of a cement truck was taken to hospital Wednesday after his vehicle left the road and rolled on its side in Warwick Township.

Lambton OPP, EMS, and firefighters responded at about 10:10 a.m. to Nauvoo Road, south of Townsend Line.

Police said the driver was trapped in the truck and had to be extricated by fire crews.

ORNGE air ambulance was dispatched as a precaution but the driver was taken to hospital by ground ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Nauvoo Road was closed from Townsend Line to Hickory Creek Line.

The ministries of labour, transportation, and environment were contacted about the crash.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
