Sarnia man killed in crash near London

Police say the person killed in a crash Thursday morning northwest of London was from Sarnia.

Middlesex OPP were called to Nairn Road at Ilderton Road in Middlesex Centre after a pickup truck and a transport truck collided at around 6:45 a.m., sending both vehicles into the ditch.

Police say it appears the pickup was travelling eastbound on Ilderton Road, when it failed to stop and was struck by the southbound transport.

The driver of the pickup, Edward Keuchkerian, 48, of Sarnia was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The transport driver was treated for minor injuries.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
