Candidate lists set for federal vote

Candidate lists were confirmed Wednesday for the October 21 federal election.

There are six candidates in each of the Sarnia-Lambton and Lambton-Kent-Middlesex ridings.

Incumbent Conservative Marilyn Gladu is seeking a second term as MP for Sarnia-Lambton.

She is being challenged by Brian Everaert of the People's Party of Canada, the NDP's Adam Kilner, Thomas Laird of the Christian Heritage Party, Carmen Lemieux representing the governing Liberals, and Peter Smith of the Green Party.

Lianne Rood is hoping to keep Lambton-Kent-Middlesex in the Conservative fold after the retirement of 13-year veteran MP Bev Shipley.

Bria Atkins is representing the People's Party of Canada, Rob Lalande is registered for the Veterans Coalition Party, Anthony Lee is running for the Greens, Jesse McCormick for the Liberals, and Dylan McLay is the NDP candidate.
