Pot luck improving for lone Sarnia cannabis application

Sarnia's lone application for a cannabis retail store has edged another step closer to the selection list for the western region.

As a result of the disqualification of applicants chosen in the latest provincial lottery, the application for 142 Lochiel St. has moved up to first on the waitlist.

That means it could make the cut if there is one more regional disqualification.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario oversees the province’s legal cannabis stores.

Sarnia has missed out on the first two provincial lotteries so far.
