Point Edward Fire & Rescue recently marked significant milestones reached by four of its members. Deputy Fire Chief Rick MacGregor, Captain Rick Burdett, Captain Dave Dobson, and firefighter Mike Caley were given their Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal and Certificate by Chief Doug MacKenzie. The medal honours members of a fire service who have completed 20 years of service, ten years of which have been served in the performance of duties involving potential risks. Chief MacKenzie commended the members for their commitment and dedication. "The amount of time, dedication and professionalism that these four individuals have shown to this department and community is remarkable," said MacKenzie in a statement. "On behalf of this department and all the residents of this community that we serve, I'd like to offer my sincere thanks and congratulations on this great achievement."
