Rotary Club auction begins Tuesday

The Rotary Club of Sarnia's online auction goes live on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Mike Elliott said bidders will have the chance to purchase hundreds of items from generous donors across Sarnia-Lambton.

"We have about 77 blocks, with about eight items per block, so probably around 600 items in this year's auction," said Elliott. "I think a lot of the old favourites as far as donations are there. A lot of gift certificates, a lot of sports tickets, interesting electronic gadgets, weekend getaways and some handcrafted items."

This is the largest fundraiser for the Rotary Club -- raising about $50,000 each year.

Bidding at www.rtva.ca will close, block by block, Sunday, November 17.

Items must be picked up at the Rotary office, 1210 Michigan Rd. -- beside Pathways -- November 18 and 19.
