College savouring success of tasty fundraiser

Lambton College's 2019 Corks, Caps and Cuisine fundraiser achieved a new benchmark.

The 14th annual tasting event on October 26 at the Lambton College Event Centre raised just over $32,000, making it the most successful yet.

It featured a fun haunted mansion theme, gourmet appetizers prepared by college Culinary Management students, and showcased a variety of craft breweries, wineries, and local orchards.

Students from the college's Hospitality Management program gained hands-on experience, helping with event preparation, and providing service to a sell-out crowd of 350.

All proceeds from the event go to the Envision Tomorrow Capital & Equipment Renewal Campaign.

Lambton College has opened three new facilities over the past couple of years including the NOVA Chemicals Health and Research Centre, and a new Athletics and Fitness Complex.
