Sarnia Fire and Rescue Services, Sarnia police and Lambton EMS responded to the home on Rayburne Avenue, between London Road and Maxwell Street, over the noon hour.
Fire Life Safety Educator Mike Otis said there were no injuries and no one was home at the time.
A cause and damage estimate has yet to be released.
Traffic was being detoured away from the fire scene.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
