UPDATE: Marinaro and Moore-Towers take silver medal

Sarnia's Michael Marinaro and partner Kirsten Moore-Towers from St. Catherines placed second after Friday's pairs' free skate at the ISU Grand Prix in Japan scoring 70.87 points.

Marinaro and Moore-Towers needed at least a bronze medal to qualify for the Grand Prix Final in Turin, Italy December 6-8.

China's Wenjing Sui and Cong Han won the gold medal with 74.48 points

Anastasia Michina and Aleksandr Galliamov of Russia were third with 62.75 points.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
