Pair facing drug charges following traffic stop

Sarnia police have charged two people following an investigation into the trafficking of large quantities of prescription medication.

Vice officers conducting surveillance pulled over a vehicle on Friday.

Officers allegedly seized over 100 Hydromorphone Contin pills, and eight Dilaudid pills.

The approximate value of the drugs is $5,520.

Cammie Marilyn English, 48 of Sarnia, and Cameron Sky-Lewis Johnson, 39 of Wallaceburg, are both charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Both were being held pending bail hearings.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
