Lambton OPP has charged a driver in a fatal crash that happened in St. Clair Township in June.
George Smit, 71, of Petrolia was killed when the car he was driving collided with a transport truck at Mandaumin Road and Courtright Line June 5.
Police say their investigation revealed that the transport was travelling south on Mandaumin when it entered into the intersection at Courtright Line and struck the sedan.
Menno Bergen, 54, of Wallacetown has been charged with careless driving causing death.
Bergen is scheduled to appear in Sarnia court on January 9.
