Another dementia registration session Thursday

Lambton OPP and the Sarnia-Lambton Alzheimer Society are holding another dementia registration session on Thursday night.

If you know someone living with Alzheimer's or dementia, you can bring a current photo to the OPP's Petrolia detachment, which they will put into their system.

If they go missing, police will quickly be able to access their information and hopefully locate them shortly after.

An estimated three in five people living with dementia will go missing at some point. If they're lost for over 24 hours, half of them will suffer a significant injury or death.

The session is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Similar events in Point Edward and Sarnia are expected to be announced in the new year.
