Sarnia police arrested four drivers on impaired driving-related charges between Friday and Saturday.
All arrests happened within just over a six hours span.The first arrest happened on Friday evening at 8:22 p.m. A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with impaired driving-related offenses after police responded to a vehicle collision. A truck had left the roadway and travelled on to the front yard of a home, taking out a fence in the process.
The second arrest happened on Friday evening at 10:22 p.m. A 33-year-old woman was stopped on Christina Street and was arrested and charged with impaired driving relating offenses after Sarnia police responded to citizen’s complaints of a woman's driving in Canatara Park.The third arrest happened on Saturday morning at 1:21 a.m. A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged with impaired driving-related offenses after Sarnia Police responded to a man allegedly passed out in his vehicle on the roadway on Michigan Avenue.
The final arrest happened on Saturday morning at 3:34 a.m. A 27-year-old man was arrested on impaired driving-related charges after police responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Capel Street.
Sarnia police advise residents that there is no excuse for driving after consuming alcohol and/or drugs and getting behind the wheel of their vehicle.
