Forest Paralympian named Team Canada captain

Forest native and Paralympic medalist Tyler McGregor has been named captain of Canada's National Para Hockey Team.

The announcement was made over the weekend in front of the Terry Fox Mile Zero Memorial in St. John's, Newfoundland

McGregor, 25, made his national team debut at age 18 at the 2012 World Sledge Hockey Challenge in Calgary.

The North Lambton Secondary grad won silver and bronze medals at the 2018 and 2014 Paralympic Games.

Most recently, McGregor won an Athletes in Excellence Award from the Foundation for Global Sports Development.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
