Concern about Sarnia's leaning light standard

The City of Sarnia is working to get a leaning light standard fixed at Northgate Plaza.

The leaning pole, with a rusted base that appears to have been hit numerous times, has attracted concern after photos were posted to social media this week.

Director of Community Services and Standards Stacey Forfar said they were just alarmed as everyone else when they were made aware of it Tuesday.

"It is on private property on Exmouth Street and we have been in contact with the private property owner to have this rectified," said Forfar.

She said they've been told it should be fixed soon.
