Sarnia names best residential lights displays

A Bright's Grove home is the grand winner of this year's Celebration of Lights competition.

First place goes to Genaro Ramos for their display at 2731 Sandfield Cres. The grand prize was $350 from Bluewater Power.

Dennis Jutzi at 369 Fanshawe Dr. was awarded second place and $250 from Bluewater Power. The third prize of $200 went to Peter and Mary Oetting at 1247 Thomas Dr.

The People's Choice Harvey McMichael Award goes to Keith Sipkens for the holiday decorations at 764 Murphy Rd.

Sarnia Transit provided bus tours last week, collecting donations for River City Vineyard.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
