Police watchdog investigating Corunna injury complaint

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is looking into an incident in Corunna last month in which a man, arrested by police, was taken to hospital complaining of an injury.

Lambton OPP reported Friday that on December 21, 2019, they responded to a disturbance at a home in the town.

They say Michael Clayton, 41, of Corunna was charged under the Trespass to Property Act, taken into custody, and then transported to hospital.

The OPP notified the SIU which has invoked its mandate and as a result, police say they're unable to provide any further information. Further details were not immediately available from the SIU.
