Westbound 402 open again after weather-related crashes

A section of westbound Highway 402 reopened late Wednesday afternoon after multiple weather-related crashes.

OPP reported four collisions involving tractor trailers during the morning hours that closed the westbound lanes between Glendon Drive to just west of Hickory Drive.

Two of the crashes involved garbage haulers.

OPP were in the process of reopening the highway at mid-afternoon Wednesday when there was another crash in which a tractor trailer rolled over.

Snow squall watches remained in effect through the afternoon for London and Eastern Middlesex County and Oxford-Brant, as cold northwest winds whipped across Lake Huron.
