New Year's Day drug bust

Lambton OPP executed a New Year's Day drug bust near Warwick Township, which resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, stolen property and electronics.

Members of the Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) responded to the 5000 block of Nauvoo Road.

A 33-year-old Warwick Township man is charged with two counts each of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a Schedule I substance, and failing to comply with recognizance.

The accused has been released and is to appear at Sarnia courthouse on February 5.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
