Lambton OPP make drug busts

A 40-year-old Plympton-Wyoming man faces possession and driving while prohibited charges following a traffic stop Sunday afternoon.

Lambton OPP responded to a report of a disqualified driver on Broadway Street at around 4 p.m. Police said they arrested the driver and later seized a bag of suspected methamphetamine and a knife.

The man is charged with two counts each of operation while prohibited, failing to comply with an undertaking and driving while under suspension, and one count each of possession of a scheduled I substance, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and use of an unauthorized plate.

The accused was being held pending a bail hearing. ---

Lambton OPP charged a 56-year-old Forest man with trafficking offences after police seized suspected Oxycodone and currency Friday.

Uniformed OPP members, the Community Street Crimes Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, and Canine Unit executed a search warrant at an Albert Street address.

Carl Parsons was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Sarnia court on February 19.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
