Vehicle clocked at over 170 km/h on Highway 402

Lambton OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 402 early Saturday travelling over 60 kilometres per hour above the posted 110 km/h speed limit.

An officer was conducting speed enforcement on the highway in Plympton-Wyoming at about 2 a.m. when the speeding vehicle was seen.

A 22-year-old driver from Mississauga has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with racing a motor vehicle.

The driver's licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle impounded for a week.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
