Pedestrian seriously injured in crash

A female pedestrian was transported to London hospital in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle in the area of London Road and Murphy Road.

Sarnia police said the woman was struck around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Murphy Road was closed in both directions in the area throughout the morning and re-opened around noon.

Sarnia Police Service traffic officers were at the scene for several hours to conduct an investigation.

Witnesses are asked to call Constable Ron Szabo at 519-344-8861 ext. 6127.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
