Four-vehicle crash on Highway 40

There was a crash involving four vehicles on Highway 40 in Sarnia Tuesday morning.

Lambton OPP, EMS, and Sarnia firefighters responded at around 7:15 a.m. to Highway 40 near Scott Road.

The westbound lanes were closed for a couple of hours between Scott Road and Highway 40 South.

Cst. Katie Hill said several people were taken to hospital as a precaution and that the area reopened at around 9 a.m.

The investigation continues, and police said more information will be released once it becomes available.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
